Sifting of Proposals
Seven proposals were received for the 2013/14 call. The FISA Steering Group members scored each proposal against the scoring criteria and recommended which projects should be selected for funding to FMAC. The meeting was held on 18 September 2013.
Four proposals were selected for funding. Two of the proposals were deemed inappropriate for FISA funding, however it was outlined that for one of the proposals there was potential for some collaboration with one of the successful projects. For the second proposal that was not selected by FISA it was suggested that other Marine Scotland resources could support the work. The remaining proposal was rejected for funding by FISA and the applicants were offered suggestions on how their project could be progressed.
Marine Scotland Science has appointed a member of staff as the nominated officer for each project to monitor progress and provide expert advice if required. Interim and final reports will be produced for each project and will be available in the 2013/14 Reports section.
