Steering Group

The FISA Steering Group consists of representatives from the catching sector, fisheries science providers and NGOs, and is chaired by Marine Scotland.

The objectives and role of the FISA Steering Group are:

  • To agree topics and themes for work which will form the basis of the call for proposals

  • To assess the proposed ideas using pre-defined scoring criteria and advise FMAC on projects for funding

  • To advise on the arrangements for the dissemination of results to stakeholders

  • To take high level decisions on the operation and administration of the scheme
