FISA Proposal Review

The FISA steering group will decide on applications for funding and FISA will be overseen by the Fisheries Management and Conservation Group (FMAC).

Proposal review process:

  • Each proposal is scored against the criteria below. The first criteria ‘Relevance to the call’ requires a Yes/No answer. If a steering group member feels that the proposal is not relevant to the call, a score is not provided against any of the other criteria. If the proposal is deemed relevant, the remaining criteria are scored on a scale of 1-5 (5 fully meeting that criteria, 1 not meeting that criteria at all).
  • An average score for each criteria for each proposal is calculated from all of the reviews by steering group members
  • This value is multiplied by the corresponding criteria weighting (below) to generate a total score for each criteria
  • This is summed across the criteria to generate a total score for each proposal
