Sifting of Proposals
Eight proposals were received for the 2014/15 call. The FISA Steering Group members all had an opportunity to score the proposals based on the scoring criteria prior to attending the proposal review meeting. The meeting was then held on 29 October 2014. There was an open and constructive discussion, with broad unanimity that generally matched the scores.
One of the proposals was deemed inappropriate for FISA funding, however it was indicated that other Marine Scotland resources could support this work. Three proposals were selected for funding and it was agreed that two proposals should be combined, and a joint proposal re-submitted, allowing the work to cover a larger geographical area (09/14). The remaining two proposals were rejected for funding by FISA and the applicants were offered suggestions on how their projects could be progressed.
Interim and final reports will be produced for each project and will be available online in the 2014/15 Reports section.
