Sifting of Proposals
Eight proposals were received for the 2012/13 call. The FISA Steering Group members scored each proposal against the scoring criteria and recommended which projects should be selected for funding to FMAC. The meeting was held on 3 September 2012.
Four proposals were selected for funding. Two of the proposals were deemed inappropriate for FISA funding, however it was indicated that other Marine Scotland resources could potentially support this work. The remaining two proposals were rejected for funding by FISA and the applicants were offered suggestions on how their projects could be progressed.
Marine Scotland Science has appointed a member of staff as the nominated officer for each project to monitor progress and provide expert advice if required. Interim and final reports will be produced for each project and will be available in the 2012/13 Reports section.
