Electronic Reporting & Recording Systems (ERS)

Masters of fishing vessels of 12 metres’ length overall or more are required to record and report catch data electronically (when operating in Scottish, EU and third country waters).

An electronic logbook is software that has been installed on board a vessel to record and submit data on fishing activities that previously would have been recorded in a paper logbook.

Further information can be found on the Electronic Reporting and Recording Systems (ERS) pages.
