Aquaculture Interactions

Marine Scotland Science (MSS) has a role in providing advice to Scottish Government and local authorities regarding the interactions between aquaculture and wild salmon and sea trout. This advice is based upon best scientific understanding and combines the findings of scientific studies from a wide variety of sources, including its own work in the following areas:

A great deal of research about sea lice is also done at the Marine Scotland Science field station in Shieldaig.
