Scottish Statistics Conference 2015

Learn from Each Other, Learn from Elsewhere

Almost 300 statisticians and non-statisticians attended the Scottish Statistics Conference, which was held on 29 April 2015 in the Surgeon's Hall in Edinburgh. The aim of the conference was to bring together people who are supporting Official Statistics in Scotland to learn, collaborate & network. The theme for the day, 'Learn from Each Other, Learn from Elsewhere' was supported by the key-note speech from the Chief Statistician of Ireland, Padraig Dalton. He covered a range of topics from the development of their own strategy to how they have modernised and how collaboration has supported their work.

Please find below the presentation slides and supporting material. For a full record of the Twitter activity go to Storify. For any questions or further information send us an email at neighbourhood.statistics@scotland.gsi.gov.uk.
