Local Area Labour Markets in Scotland

The 'Local Area Labour Markets in Scotland: Statistics from the Annual Population Survey' publication (formerly known as the Annual Population Survey in Scotland: A Compendium of Labour Market Statistics) is produced annually and covers information on various key indicators in Scotland - employment, unemployment, economic inactivity, education and skills. The data is derived from the Annual Population Survey (APS), which is a boosted annual version of Labour Force Survey.

The latest publication in its current format is available to download.

Consultation

A user consultation seeking views on the changes made to the publication last year, and inputs on the content of the forthcoming publication, ran from 13 May 2011 to 10 June 2010.

Future outputs:
  • At 9:30am on 10th of August the Local Area Labour Markets in Scotland: Statistics from the Annual Population Survey 2010 publication will be released on the Scottish Government website.
  • By mid-September, web-tables with additional geographies will be released on the Scottish Government website.
