Quarterly Housing Update

Numbers of new build starts and completions by sector, Affordable Housing Supply Programme and local authority house sales (Right to Buy) are published each quarter in our quarterly housing update. Figures on long term empty properties and second homes are presented once a year, usually in the December update.

Private Sector Rent Statistics

This publication presents statistics on private sector rent levels in Scotland using data from the Rent Service Scotland market evidence database. It presents information on rent levels for different property sizes across each of the 18 broad rental market areas in Scotland. It contains information on average rents as well as rents at the higher and lower end of the market.

SCORE

SCORE (Scottish Continuous Recording system) used to collect information from Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) about the new lets they are making in any given year. The Scottish Government took the decision to cease SCORE, with the last SCORE publication covering 2014/15.

Social Sector Housing tables

These tables presented a range of statistics on social sector housing (local authority and housing associations where possible). Topics covered included stock, rents, evictions, Right to Buy sales, and vacant stock.

This publication series no longer updated and the last update was in 2012-13.

Rent Registration

The Rent Registration Tables included information about Housing Benefit referals. They were last updated in May 2011, containing data up until Quarter 1 2011, and there are no plans to update this information.

Supporting People Client Statistics

Information about people receiving services funded through the Supporting People Programme was published until 2007-08. Information is no longer updated due to removal of ring-fenced funding.

Private Sector Housing Improvement and Repair Grants

Information on grants provided by local authorities to assist private home owners with improvements and repairs were published until 2010, when local authorities moved to providing other types of assistance through the Scheme of Assistance.
