2015 Maternity Care Survey

The survey was sent to a random sample of women who gave birth in Scotland in Febraury and March 2015 for completion between May and August 2015. The survey provides high quality and comprehensive information on women's experiences of maternity care in 2015 and repeats the survey undertaken in 2013.

A total of 5,025 questionnaires were sent out and 2,036 were returned, giving a response rate of 41 per cent. More information on the survey design, response rates and methodology can be found in the Technical Report.

NHS Board and Hospital Results

Reports for mainland NHS Boards and larger maternity units can be found below. They provide detailed results for each survey question as well as comparisons with Scotland. Please note there are no separate reports for Orkney, Shetland or the Western Isles due to the small number of births. Spreadsheets with results will be provided separately to these Boards.
