Social Care Survey

2017

The 2017 Social Care Survey covers services and support provided over the year 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017, with the exception of Home Care, Housing Support and Meals services which are collected for a census week including the 31st March 2017. The deadline for returning data to The Scottish Government will be the 31st July 2017.

Note that all data returned in the 2017 Social Care Survey will be used in the Health, Social Care & Housing Data Linking project

There are no changes to the guidance for the survey this year.

The 2016 Social Care Survey covers services and support provided over the year 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016, with the exception of Home Care, Housing Support and Meals services which are collected for a census week including the 6th April 2016. The deadline for returning data to The Scottish Government will be the 31st July 2016.

The XML upload template, Guidance and Specification documents are available below. The Guidance document provides general guidance on completing the Survey and describes changes relative to previous years. As such, please ensure you make use of the current Guidance document when completing this years Survey. The Specification document is intended primarily for the use of IT staff and contains technical information regarding the validation structure of the Survey.

2013

The Home Care and Self-Directed Support (Direct Payments) surveys have been brought together, following consultation, to form a new Social Care Survey.

The Social Care data should be returned to The Scottish Government using the ProcXed system to ensure secure data transfer, by 31st July 2013.
