Comparison with UK GDP results

The latest figures show that comparable GDP data for the UK as a whole, at constant basic prices, rose by 0.9 per cent during the third quarter of 2012, following a fall of 0.4 per cent in the previous quarter.

On an annual basis, the UK economy grew by 0.1% between 2011 Q3 and 2012Q3.

In the third quarter of 2012, the UK Services sector rose by 1.2 per cent, output in the Production sector rose by 0.7 per cent, and Construction output fell by 2.5 per cent.
