Criminal Justice - Summary Court Cases

High Level Summary of Statistics Trend Last update: Tuesday, June 19, 2012 Summary court cases dealt with within 26 weeks

The percentage of criminal cases in summary courts completed within 26 weeks in 2011-12 was 74%, the same as in 2010-11. This is a nine percentage point increase from 65% in 2005/06.

Note: Figures cover Sheriff Summary, District / Justice of the Peace and Stipendiary court cases. The time points are defined as the earliest caution and charge date for any accused in the case to the latest verdict date for any accused in the case.
