Education Outcomes for Looked After Children, 2014-15

  • In 2014/15, 35% of looked after leavers achieved a pass at SCQF level 5, up from 15% in 2009/10.
  • 69% were in positive follow-up destinations as compared to 40% in 2009/10.
  • School attendance for looked after children was 92% in 2014/15, the national figure of 94%.
  • There were 218 exclusions per 1,000 looked after children in 2014/15, down from 360 in 2009/10.
