Data Access - Special Datasets

A request to be provided with a special dataset can be submitted where the standard anonymised datasets does not contain all the information you require.

All dataset requests are assessed against an agreed set of ‘risk’ criteria and recorded in a scoring matrix. The 'risk' level is assessed by Scottish Government officials and may be escalated to the Scottish Government Data Access Panel where appropriate.

Please note that the SSCQ team may reject access requests if we believe that the majority of the requestor’s needs would be met by data currently available under End User Licence from the UK Data Archive – as all requests have an associated cost to Government resources and reduce capacity for other survey development work.
