Housing and Reoffending: Supporting people who serve short-term sentences to secure and sustain stable accommodation on liberation

The research focused on the problems that people who serve short sentences in Scotland have finding and keeping stable housing and the services that can help improve housing outcomes. The findings describe a complex cycle of housing problems faced by people serving short sentences, their interlinked causes and impacts and the difficulties these problems pose in desistance from offending.

5/11/2015 Developing regulation of energy efficiency of private sector housing (REEPS): modelling improvements to the target stock - Research Summary This Research Summary presents the main findings from the 2014-15 research project into improving the energy efficiency of the private sector dwelling stock in Scotland, undertaken by Ipsos MORI and Alembic Research. The research identified the least cost methods of improving the target stock, namely those dwellings falling into Bandings E, F and G on the SAP rating scale.
5/11/2015 Developing regulation of energy efficiency of private sector housing (REEPS): modelling improvements to the target stock - Main Research Report This report describes how the least energy efficient dwellings in the private sector were identified and how their ratings could be improved by a range of improvement measures. Modelling was used to ascertain the least cost way of reaching different standards, with findings presented on capital costs, fuel cost savings, carbon and energy reductions.
5/11/2015 Developing regulation of energy efficiency of private sector housing (REEPS): modelling improvements to the target stock – 355 Modelled Archetypes Modelling of energy efficiency improvements was carried out on 355 different archetypes, representing the least energy efficient dwellings in the private sector. A 5-page summary of the modelling results for each archetype has been published as part of the research outputs.
