If you are interested in any short term non-permanent opportunities that may arise to work on specific tasks or projects in the Social Research Group, please send your up-to-date CV to Social Research. You must have an honours degree (minimum 2:1) in a social science discipline or a post-graduate degree in a social science discipline (relevant social science disciplines include sociology, economics, social policy, politics, psychology, geography, anthropology, and social studies), a thorough knowledge of the range of social research methods, experience in applying some of these research methods. We will retain your CV on file for a period of 12 months.
The Scottish Government also makes use of the UK GSR (Government Social Research) Fast Stream, and sometimes chooses to make permanent appointments through that route. More details of the annual Fast Stream recruitment process for social researchers are on the GSR Fast stream website.
