Experience Panels

Over 2,400 volunteers from across Scotland have signed up to work with us as part of the Experience Panels. Thank you to everyone who has signed up. We look forward to working with you to shape the new Scottish social security system.

Our recruitment drive came to an end on Friday 9th June. We will continue to take ‘expressions of interest’ and will re-contact individuals when recruitment reopens. If you have experience of the benefits that are being devolved to the Scottish Government, and are interested in taking part in the Experience Panels, please get in touch with us.

The Next Step – About Your Benefits and You Research

Scottish Government researchers have now contacted our panel members to begin the next stage of the process, the ‘About Your Benefits and You’ research. This will help us understand in a bit more detail what panel members think works well in the current system, and where there is room for improvement. This research involves a survey of panel members, as well as a series of focus groups around Scotland.

We’ll then use this information to develop a programme of work with the Experience Panels that reflects what is important to our panel members.
