What we’re doing
We are committed to hearing directly from everyone in Scotland with an interest, to develop our approach and inform decisions about social security in Scotland.
How are we engaging with people in Scotland?
We carried out a three month consultation between July and October 2016, receiving just over 500 formal responses. A report setting out the independent analysis of the consultation responses will be published soon.
Our direct engagement will continue with our Experience Panels which will be set up in Spring 2017. These will involve at least 2,000 people who have direct experience of receiving benefits to help shape Scotland’s first ever social security system. People from across the country will be recruited to help to design and test the new system to ensure it works for them.
Our newsletter provides all the latest information and updates on the social security powers being devolved to the Scottish Parliament through the Scotland Act 2016.
