Consultation on the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act

The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Bill was developed after discussions with people who might be directly affected by it. An exploratory consultation in 2012, which sought views on a very wide range of topics, was narrowed down to 10 topics suitable for inclusion in the Bill. A more detailed consultation took place in 2013 and topics for inclusion to the Bill reduced to 8.
All the consultation documents, response and reports are available below.

It takes forward proposals that were supported in our previous, exploratory consultation in 2012, and others which have emerged from further discussion with stakeholders.
