GIRFEC wellbeing resources (SHANARRI)

Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC) resources relating to wellbeing.

About

Wellbeing sits at the heart of the GIRFEC approach and reflects the need to tailor the support and help that children, young people and their parents are offered.

To help make sure everyone – children, young people, parents, and the services that support them – has a common understanding of what wellbeing means, we describe it in terms of eight indicators.

National practice model

You can use the associated documents in the downloads page to make an assessment. The national practice model shows how they relate to each other.

Wellbeing concerns can be observed and recorded using the Wellbeing Wheel.

Assessments can be made using the My World Triangle and Resilience Matrix. Assessments should be appropriate, proportionate and timely.

Wellbeing outcomes can be set using the Wellbeing Wheel with clear actions and scheduled reviews.
