CashBack for Communities - Financial Information

CashBack/Community Initiatives funded by Proceeds of Crime monies.

Since 2008, £92 million of criminal cash has been committed to community initiatives to improve the quality of life for young people right across Scotland.

CashBack

By 31 March 2017 we expect nearly £73 million to have been given to a wide range of sporting, cultural, youth work and community opportunities, with a further £641k of Phase 3 funding committed to facilities and a youth diversion project where payments will run into 2017-18.

Actual spend was less than committed funding for a variety of reasons including delays in the start of projects, vacancies in staffing and costs being less than anticipated, for example when match funding has been offered.

£17 million has been committed for Phase 4 of CashBack for Communities which will cover the period 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2020. Information on the successful applicants is set out in the downloadable document below.
