Family Matters - Bereavement

The death of someone close to you can be overwhelming, and you may need practical advice to help you middle aged manmanage. You may also need to speak to someone about how you feel.

You may find our booklet What to do after a death in Scotland helpful. As well as describing the steps you need to take if you are managing someone's estate (property) after death, it has information about who can inherit from the estate of someone who dies.

If you would like a printed copy of the publication, please e-mail us at family.law@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or telephone 0131 244 3581.
