Justice Programme: Reassuring the Public


The Reassuring the Public (RtP) programme co-ordinates a series of projects designed to reduce fear of crime and build confidence in Scotland's justice system.

Aims and Objectives

RtP consists of a series of projects and initiatives focusing on the factors that impact on fear and confidence including:

  • perceptions of personal risk and vulnerability;
  • personal experience of crime and contact with justice agencies;
  • disruptive behaviour and inconsiderate neighbours;
  • visible and accessible policing.
