Justice Programme: Building Safer Communities

Overview

Our vision is of a flourishing, optimistic Scotland in which resilient communities, families and individuals live safe from crime, disorder and danger.

Aims and Objectives

The Building Safer Communities (BSC) programme was established in 2009 to accelerate crime reduction in Scotland. The purpose, as agreed by the BSC programme board, is to build the evidence base, provide strategic challenge, reduce violence and increase community safety and resilience.
