Scotland Week

Built around the annual Tartan Day celebrations in the USA and Canada, Scotland Week is an annual week long programme of business, civic and tourism engagements aimed at the promotion of Scotland as a great place to live, visit, do business, study and invest.

Scotland Week 2014

First Minister Alex Salmond and Minister for External Affairs and International Development Humza Yousaf visited North America in April for Scotland Week 2014.  The First Minister carried out an extensive programme of business engagements with top US companies, which featured 1,075 new and secured jobs for Scotland.  Both Ministers promoted VisitScotland’s Homecoming 2014 tourism campaign, engaged with a number of prestigious global institutions and key influencers to demonstrate that Scotland is open for business and promoted the strength and competitiveness of Scotland’s key sectors.
