  • Scottish-American Organisations: there are many organisations across the USA devoted to celebrating Scottish heritage and culture. These include St Andrew's Societies, Caledonian Clubs and Clan Societies. For example, the Council of Scottish Clans and Association, Inc provides a gateway for Scottish American organisations and individuals to work to strengthen and energize the Scottish American diaspora and to celebrate and preserve Scottish heritage
  • National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA - The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA encourages Americans to participate in the care of the cultural and natural treasures protected by the National Trust for Scotland.  By providing grants that assist in funding urgent conservation activities, the National Trust for Scotland Foundation ensures that the heritage shared by Scots and Americans is safeguarded for current and future generations
  • Scottish North American Business Council - a private, not-for-profit, membership organisation aiming to strengthen and promote bilateral investment and trade between North America and Scotland
  • Edinburgh University – The University’s links with the USA stretch back over 400 years
  • British Council have offices in Edinburgh and across the USA ( www.britishcouncil.org/usa). In the USA, the British Council promotes and supports UK (including Scottish) education and training, the arts, science and technology.
  • The Marshall Scholarships - The Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom.
