Full guidance is being drafted to aid understanding and implementation of the provisions of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. The guidance will be structured into chapters on the different parts of the Act as well as those addressing cross-cutting considerations (e.g. the context of integration of health and social care).
Guidance development will draw on a wide range of stakeholders and interested parties to co-produce the guidance and capture what is important and useful. We are working with pilot areas to test certain provisions within the Act and will share lessons through the guidance.
