Scottish Government are working with Evaluation Support Scotland to develop a Child Abuse Prevention Framework. The Framework will set out what is understood by prevention, identifying the activities, outcomes and assumptions which underpin a prevention approach and an understanding of how to evaluate prevention activities. the Framework will focus on people and organisations that might stop abuse happening, the situations that might increase the risk of abuse happening, and people at risk of being abusers.
The first phase in developing the Framework was a short life working group of voluntary sector practitioners who met between November 2016 and February 2017 to create the prevention narrative.
A workshop was held on 31 March 2017 to present the draft prevention narrative and develop a way forward.
