Flooding Summit - 15 January 2014
The Scottish Government held a Flooding Summit for Local Authorities at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh on Wednesday 15 January 2014.
The summit was attended by elected councillors and officials from local authorities across Scotland. It provided a forum for discussion of the ongoing implementation of the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009, with particular focus on the role of local authorities. The event also saw the launch by Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Paul Wheelhouse MSP, of new flood risk and hazard maps prepared and published by SEPA on their website.
