Deer Commission for Scotland Merges with Scottish Natural Heritage
The Deer Commission for Scotland merged with Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) on 1 August 2010. The merger of the two bodies, under the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010, is part of a wider programme to make the public sector simpler and more responsive and to provide better customer focused services.
With additional deer management responsibilities, SNH will carry on the work of the Deer Commission to deliver sustainable deer management in Scotland and high quality deer services.
