Natural Heritage Management in Scotland

The Scottish Government works with stakeholder groups and Non Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs) to encourage and facilitate land management practices that help deliver the Government's priorites for a greener Scotland. Enhancing Scotland's natural heritage for the benefit of future generations is integral to the Scottish Government's purpose of creating a more successful country.

The Scottish Government sponsors a number of NDPBs which are responsible for enhancing and promoting the sustainable use of the natural heritage of Scotland.
