The documents below have been created by Local Authorities, who have kindly agreed to share them as examples of 'good practice'. The Flow Diagram and Checklist has been developed by Highland Council and modified by CME(S) to allow Local Authorities to adapt it to suit their local procedures. The 'Request for a Search Form' can also be adapted, if you wish to use this in lieu of developing your own form.
CME(S) would suggest agreeing local procedures with relevant agencies, including Education, Social Work and Police - they may provide a logo to appear in the header of documents to show that they endorse them.
