The Scottish Attainment Challenge Advisory Group's was established to provide comment and professional advice on the strategic direction, vision, objectives, plans and the range of work of the Scottish Attainment Challenge Programme.
It's roles and responsabilities include:-
Considering the position of the work on attainment within the overall education landscape and how it is aligns with current and future initiatives in this space.
Advising on the stakeholder relationships that could benefit the Programme.
Advising on reports, commissioned studies, research and evaluation that would help inform the work and direction of the Programme.
Assessing options presented and provide clear recommendations and/or offer alternative approaches that would be acceptable.
Identifying any potential risks or issues, and advise on their management.
Keeping other relevant organisations, networks and groups informed of progress and disseminate/gather information and communications relevant to the work of the Programme
As an advisory body the group does not have any specific areas of decision making or accountability.
