Doran Regional Learning and Communication Events
The Scottish Government, in partnership with the Joint Improvement Team, held Doran regional events in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow in June 2014 and a further event in Perth in October 2014.
The events provided information about the implementation of the Doran Review recommendations for national strategic commissioning. Delegates were given the opportunity to share their views on the proposed approach to commissioning which will help to inform the next phase of the project.
A wide range of stakeholders were in attendance including local authorities, social work, teachers, NHS and service providers. A report of the Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow events is now available as well as a report of the Perth event. Both reports summarise the main themes emerging from the discussions.
The next phase of the communication strategy will begin in the Autumn. This will include further workshops for professionals and engagement with parents, carers, children and young people.
