Make it in Scotland is a campaign to promote the image of the manufacturing industry to Secondary 2 (12-14 year old) pupils. It originated from the document Created in Scotland: the Way Forward for Manufacturing in the 21 st Century.
The programme is delivered nationwide by Careers Scotland.
Make it in Scotland takes the form of locally held roadshows, consisting of games and hands-on activities presented by manufacturing companies themselves. These activities are designed to challenge stereotypes regarding the characteristics of the manufacturing industry and better inform career choices.
In support of the roadshows, the campaign has produced a teaching pack and a web site and is developing branding to other initiatives where appropriate.
