Meetings are chaired by the Deputy First Minister & Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth. Up to 5 Ministers may be present on the day including the First Minister who usually delivers a keynote speech.
Meetings are open to the public but only in the capacity of observers.
The agenda is determined by the Chair after wide consultation with the members.
It is normal practice to have three papers presented on the day for presentation by member agencies or Scottish Government policy officials at CoHI.
At the meetings, the subject is debated and action points/outcomes are agreed, with their progress reported at the next Convention meeting.
Examples of past agenda items and outcomes are available to view on the meeting documents webpage.
