The Convention of the Highlands and Islands (CoHI) seeks to strengthen alignment between the Scottish Government and member organisations in order to develop sustainable economic growth. It seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas on strategic issues affecting the people of the Highlands and Islands.
The Convention meets biannually, in spring and autumn, and its location alternates between a mainland and island setting. The local authority for the area host the event.
The Convention is attended by appointed members however, it is also open to the public to observe the meetings.
The next meeting of the Convention will be held on Monday 31 October, in Inverness. Documents for the meeting will be made available shortly via the meeting documents page.
