The Fund is currently closed for new applications.
The £25m p.a. Regeneration Capital Grant Fund, delivered in partnership with COSLA and local government, supports locally developed regeneration projects that involve local communities, helping to support and create jobs and build sustainable communities.
Applications to the fund are made on an annual basis and where justified can potentially cover more than one financial year (subject to Spending Review restrictions).

The call for applications for projects that can start in 2017/18 is now CLOSED.

The panel met on 15 September 2016 and have invited 43 projects to submit full stage 2 applications.

It should be noted that funding to support projects will be subject to the formation of the next parliamentary administration and subsequent budget spending review for 2017/18.
General Information on the fund
The fund is open to all 32 Scottish Local Authorities individually or whether they exercise their functions through Urban Regeneration Companies (URC’s) or other Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV’s).
Applications are not restricted in geography, size or type of project. It will be for applicant organisations to demonstrate that projects fit with the aims and objectives of the fund and can demonstrate clear regeneration outcomes in line with the Scottish Government strategy document Achieving a Sustainable Future and local area regeneration plans.
Projects that primarily focus on areas that suffer from high levels of deprivation and disadvantage
Projects that demonstrate clear community involvement.
Projects that will deliver large scale transformational change with strong regeneration outcomes.
Projects and programmes that can encourage additional investment and address market failure.
All applications will be subject to scrutiny by the Regeneration Capital Grant Investment Panel which will make final recommendations on projects to be funded.
There will be a two-stage assessment process. Applicants must submit a summary of their project on the form provided at stage one, with successful projects at this stage being invited by the panel to then complete a full stage two application.
