General Permitted Development Order consultation sought views on draft legislation for a number of refinements and amendments to the non-domestic elements of the General Permitted Development Order.

The majority of respondents support the proposed changes.

A further consultation on permitted development rights in relation to telecoms operators will take place early in 2014.

A statutory instrument will bring implement those proposal we are taking forward following analysis of consultation responses

The draft consultation is with Mr Mackay for approval

Intention is to publish before end of month.

An amendment to the GPDO will be laid later this year including the telecoms and the other amendments

General Permitted Development Order – Further permitted development rights for non-domestic solar panels and domestic air source heat pumps are being considered.  We aim for these further rights to be in force in the spring of 2016
