Adding Extensions and Converting Lofts

If you wish to improve your home for example by adding an extension or conservatory, converting your loft or erecting a garage, wall or fence you are likely to require a building warrant. Further information on building warrants can be found on the Scottish Government's Building Standards website.

Your local authority will also be able to provide guidance on how to apply for a building warrant.
