All sellers who want to put their house on the market must have a Home Report and provide, upon request, a copy to prospective buyers.
Sellers should also be aware that there are a number of exceptions to the duties to provide a Home Report, including for new housing, mixed sales and houses that have been converted. The Advice section provides more information on the exceptions.
If a property does not require a Home Report, a seller will still need to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate.
The Advice section gives you details on how to obtain a Home Report, your statutory duties to provide a copy to prospective buyers, together with other information that may be useful to you.
If you have more questions about the Home Report visit the FAQ section.
