In the run up to the introduction of the Home Report, an implementation group was set up to ensure industry professionals were aware of the changes being introduced.
The Home Report Implementation Group included representatives of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Law Society of Scotland, the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the National Association of Estate Agents, the Scottish Consumer Council and the Scottish Government.
The main roles for the group were:
- to provide assistance and advice on the implementation of the Home Report where required
- to ensure that members of organisations represented on the Implementation Group were kept informed of their responsibilities and the progress of the implementation of the Home Report; and
- to co-ordinate training and awareness sessions for the Home Report for their members.
Training events, arranged by the organisations represented on the Home Report Implementation Group, also took place prior to the introduction of the Home Report.
