Local and National Government Joint Group on the Historic Environment

A collaborative working group comprising members from local and national government and beyond.  The group will focus on how the historic environment can best be managed.

Purpose

 To protect and promote the historic environment by proportionate regulation and effective management

 Maximise cultural, economic and social benefits and opportunities for the people of Scotland.

 Identify appropriate adaption and mitigation to respond to climate change implications and duties on public bodies

 To achieve effective and proportionate delivery of national and local public services.
