Delivering the Historic Environment Strategy for Scotland

The delivery model, pictured below, has been established to help support delivery of the Historic Environment Strategy for Scotland. The model is made up of a wide range of key stakeholders both from across the Historic Environment sector and beyond, and links the high level strategic framework to activities at the operational level.  It tasks decision makers and deliverers to address the challenges that the historic environment faces now and in the future.

Strategy Governance Model

Strategic Historic Environment Forum

The Forum is responsible for championing Scotland's historic environment by providing strategic advice and direction on its management and promotion.  The Forum promotes the Strategy by encouraging and celebrating collaboration and leadership at all levels across the sector; working in partnership on issues of national importance; and aligning activities and resources to deliver agreed priorities.  Please see membership, meeting papers and draft minute for further information.

Historic Environment Operational Group

The Operational Group is responsible for driving progress towards delivery of the Strategy vision and outcomes and provides the link between the Strategic Forum and the workstreams.  It supports the identification of priorities across the sector and works in partnership to remove barriers to achieving those priorities.  Please see membership and meeting papers for further information.
