The Gender Representation on Public Boards Scotland)Bill is intended to redress the under representation of women on Public Boards in Scotland, and to ensure that Boards aspire to have 50% non-executive directors who are women or as close to 50% as possible in the event that a Board has an odd number of non-executive directors. The Bill was introduced to Parliament on 15 June 2017. This Partial BRIA set outs the likely costs, benefits and impact of the leading options which is legislation.
