In April 2011 the Scottish Government (SG) commissioned a portfolio of rural affairs and environment research and related initiatives from its Main Research Providers (Moredun Research Institute; Scotland’s Rural College; The James Hutton Institute; Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh) and Scottish Universities. That work will conclude in March 2016. There is now a requirement to identify the SG’s future needs and priorities for the Rural Affairs and Environment portfolio.
This consultation sought views on the SG’s proposals for these and the outcome of this consultation will be incorporated into a strategy that will provide the framework for commissioning new work over the period 2016-2021.
These are the responses.
