The Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment for "Towards Decarbonising Heat: Maximising the Opportunities for Scotland: Draft Heat Generation Policy Statement for Consultation, sets out an Environmental Report of the policies set out in the Draft Heat Generation Policy Statement. Section 7 sets out the reports conclusions and recommendations and poses a number of questions to which we invite responses by the 9 June 2014.

Executive Summary

A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the Draft Policy Statement has been undertaken under the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005. This Non-Technical Summary describes the content of the Environmental Report that has been produced as a result of the SEA process. It includes a description of the significant environmental effects expected as a result of these proposed policies, and other relevant environmental information. Along with the Draft Policy Statement, the Environmental Report is open for public consultation.

Responses to the questions posed in Section 7 of the SEA are invited by 9 June 2014.
