Procurement Efficiencies: Monitoring and Evaluation of Devanha Phase 2 [Research]

This research is a monitoring and evaluation study of the Devanha Phase 2 procurement initiative established in 2006 by five RSLs in North East Scotland: Aberdeenshire Housing Partnership, Castlehill Housing Association, Grampian Housing Association and Langstane Housing Association. The research involved a four year monitoring exercise during which data was collected annually. The research also aimed to analyse transferable lessons which could be learned from Devanha’s experience

Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation 2012 - Executive Summary [Statistics]

The Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) is the Scottish Government's official tool for identifying those places in Scotland suffering from multiple deprivation. By identifying concentrations of multiple deprivation, the SIMD can be used to target policies and resources at the places with greatest need.

2011 Fully Documented Fishery Trial – Economic Evaluation [Marine and Fisheries]

This document reports the evaluation of the impact of the 2011 Fully Documented Fishery Trial (FDF) on the activity and performance of participating vessels. Official landings data is used to estimate how participation in the trial may have affected key indicators such as landings, effort and profits compared to a control group of eligible non-participants.

Scottish Marine and Freshwater Science Volume 3 Number 9: Data Mining of the Nephrops Survey Database to Support the Scottish MPA Project [Marine and Fisheries]

Marine Scotland Science conducts annual underwater television surveys to estimate the abundance of Nephrops norvegicus on muddy sediments in seas around Scotland. Data within the Nephrops survey database will be used to assist with the Scottish Marine Protected Area project, specifically the mapping of burrowed mud and offshore deep mud habitats (biotopes). This report documents work carried out, including summaries for each area surveyed and maps based on Geographic Information System layers.
